After the first three games of the season, it is important to updated where we stand moving forward.
All three games were hard fought and great learning experiences for the guys. U Dallas is a difficult place to play and always a hard working team...so to get the win there to open the season was a great start.
Then to play at UT-Dallas, again a difficult environment to play. The guys came to play that night and gave a great effort start to finish. They should a tremendous amount of heart to recover from two goals down (good goals on UTD's part, but defending errors on our part) to equalize and take the game to OT. Always tough to lose a game in that manner, but again one we will learn from.
Finally, our opening home game against a well coached Puget Sound team. They are a young team of considerable talent. They came to play and we matched that the entire game. We were playing with a depleted bench (injuries...) and our third match in 4 days. To, again, come back from a deficit speaks loads and was another great opportunity for our young guys to learn.
So now we stand at 1-1-1 heading into a tough couple of road games. Mary Hardin Baylor are currently in great form having just swept Southwestern and Trinity this past weekend. And then we play a revamped Concordia squad on Sunday who is with a new coach and new outlook. We are excited to get on the road and play.
Thanks to everyone's support.
